When I think what was the ever first song I remember in my life it is Strawberry Switchblade's Secrets from the only album Strawberry Switchblade. I think I was either two or three. Its still a bit of a blur. We lived in a hippy flat in Kentish Town and according to my mum I went on my first gay pride march in 1986. This song was the first I can recall. Ever. It must have had some influence on my later musical persuasions. Occasionally I'll return to the Strawberry Switchblade, reminisce on the memories of those early years but also note the flavours in their work that can be picked up in later releases by the Killers and Scissor Sisters.
