In April, DSTP featured the video for Katie Melua's amazing single produced by William Orbit. Sadly, it seemed to have been overlooked but its oddity ensures its place in this countdown of trinkets, soliloquies and confessions. Katie Melua changed the gear of her music, took a risk with the lead single and featured lots of men wearing very little. I can't tell what the video is about but it clearly played with symbolic references of the male body, warrior mentality and homosexuality. Of course, I'd take this song to heart. Epic and stunning, Melua's The Flood shines bright on the 2010 mantelpiece of pop.
